As the European project Fashion Earth Alliance โ Vocational Excellence and Enterprise (FEA-VEE) approaches its completion in the summer of 2026, the consortium is consolidating the outcomes of a comprehensive initiative aimed at supporting the green and digital transformation of the fashion, textile and apparel sectors across Europe.
Implemented under the Erasmus+ Programme, FEA-VEE brings together a diverse partnership of vocational education providers, higher education institutions, research organisations, chambers of commerce and industry stakeholders from multiple European countries. This multi-actor collaboration has enabled the development of a transnational ecosystem focused on skills, innovation and sustainable growth.
Project Scope and Strategic Objectives
FEA-VEE was designed to address key structural challenges affecting the fashion and textile industries, including:
- the growing demand for green and sustainable production models,
- the integration of digital technologies and competences,
- and the persistent skills gap across the sector.
In response, the project set out to develop a modern, responsive Vocational Education and Training (VET) framework that:
- aligns education and training with labour market needs,
- promotes sustainability and circular economy principles,
- and fosters entrepreneurial thinking and innovation.
Key Areas of Implementation
- Development of Training Content and Learning Resources
The consortium developed a comprehensive suite of training materials addressing core themes such as:

- green entrepreneurship,
- digital transformation in the fashion value chain.
These resources were designed to be modular, adaptable and applicable across different learning environments and target groups.
- Skills Development and Capacity Building
FEA-VEE implemented a range of training activities targeting:
- young learners and graduates entering the labour market,
- professionals seeking to upgrade their skills,
- VET educators and trainers.
Special emphasis was placed on the development of:

- gain hands-on experience in different European contexts,
- exchange best practices,
- and strengthen cross-border collaboration.
This dimension significantly enhanced the European added value of the project and contributed to the transferability of knowledge and practices.
- Digital Collaboration Platform
A dedicated digital platform was developed to support:
- collaboration between businesses and education providers,
- access to training content and tools,
- networking and professional opportunities.
The platform is expected to remain operational beyond the projectโs lifecycle, ensuring continued impact and accessibility.
Target Groups and Impact
FEA-VEE engaged a broad spectrum of stakeholders, including:
- young people and graduates, improving their employability prospects,
- small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), supporting their transition to more sustainable and competitive models,
- education and training providers, enhancing the relevance of their curricula,
- trainers and educators, strengthening their capacity to deliver modern, industry-aligned training.
The projectโs impact is reflected both in skills development and in the broader shift towards more sustainable and innovation-driven practices within the sector.
Outputs and Deliverables
Among the key outputs of FEA-VEE are:
- structured training programmes and educational toolkits,
- digital learning and collaboration tools,
- analytical reports on skills needs and sectoral trends,
- policy recommendations supporting sustainable entrepreneurship and workforce development.
These deliverables have been designed to ensure long-term usability and scalability beyond the duration of the project.
The Value of the Consortium Approach
A defining strength of FEA-VEE lies in its collaborative model, bringing together partners with complementary expertise across education, research and industry.
This approach enabled:
- the co-creation of practical and market-relevant solutions,
- effective knowledge transfer across countries and sectors,
- and the generation of tangible European added value.
Looking Ahead
As the project moves towards its final phase, the focus is shifting to:
- maximising the uptake and exploitation of results,
- ensuring effective dissemination across stakeholder communities,
- and sustaining the networks and partnerships developed throughout the project.
FEA-VEE leaves behind a solid foundation for continued cooperation and serves as a reference model for future initiatives at the intersection of skills, sustainability and entrepreneurship in Europe.
In Brief
FEA-VEE represents a comprehensive European effort to equip the fashion ecosystem with the skills, tools and collaborative structures needed to navigate the transition towards a more sustainable and resilient future.
