The FEA-VEE project was born from the need to address two pressing issues for the textile and fashion industry: the green and sustainable transition, on the one hand, and the major shortage of qualified personnel, on the other. Indeed, the textile and fashion industry has lost its attractiveness, especially for young people. This sector suffers from a shortage of qualified personnel, in particular with advanced digital skills.
To meet these challenges, FEA-VEE aims to:
1) Provide specific training to young people interested in the sector aimed at training a workforce that is better qualified, competent and ready to meet the challenges of the green transition.
2) Develop ecological economic models and green policies to improve business strategies in the sector.
3) Promote the implementation of a transnational cooperation platform that connects stakeholders of the fashion industry: students, employees, employers, universities, entrepreneurs and policy-makers. Users will use the platform to offer/find jobs or internships, training and cooperation opportunities across Europe.
The FEA-VEE project started in June 2022 and will last for four years.
To all stakeholders of the fashion, clothing and textile industries: stay in the loop, exciting things are about to happen!
