On 24th-25th September 2024, the FEA-VEE team gathered in the vibrant city of Leipzig, the cultural heart of eastern Germany. The meeting was hosted by our project partner, the Italian-German Chamber of Commerce (ITKAM).
Key Achievements and Updates:
- One of the main points of the meeting was the ongoing development of the cooperation platform, designed to connect students and companies within the fashion and textile sectors across Europe. With more than 100 users already registered, including students, recent graduates, companies and professional training providers, the platform continues to grow.
- Another key point was finding ways to improve the system of national internships currently in progress and the international study visits, which are expected to take place throughout 2025.
- Dissemination efforts were also reviewed in order to maximize the project impact in all partner countries. Over the next six months, the partnership will increase the effort with creating promotional materials such as FEA-VEE t-shirts and audio-visual content with the interns. As the project develops, our aim is to share impactful stories from students and companies involved!
- Another focus of the meeting was enhancing the training materials for VET students and trainers which are currently being developed by the partners. By collectively reviewing the contents, the partners ensure the quality of the materials. Our training materials will continue to support sustainability efforts in the fashion and textile industries.
The event concluded with discussions on next steps for the project, such as the next transnational meeting, scheduled for May 2025 in Stockholm. The partners left Leipzig with a clear action plan and a strengthened commitment to promote sustainability and professional excellence in the fashion and textile sector.
